Recently, I found a solution online by custom installing everything in EMC 10 except "SmartSound" to get rid of that printer error message. When I first installed EMC 10 I did a "Clean Install", everything worked but "VideoWave" and a very annoying error message at window starts "HP Cue Status has stopped working.". And I also have a HP C4150 All-In-One Printer. I do have a HP Pavilion dv9743 T7250 2.0GHz 3GB DDR2 160GB HDDX2 with Windows Vista Home Premium SP1 32-bit Operating System. They can safely stay there even if you never installed another Roxio program, ever. They will not get in the way of a reinstall, nor will they interfere with any other software. The entries in HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT are a good example of references and entries which are both very numerous, and perfectly okay to leave in the registry. There are hundreds of other entries and filetype definitions which were inserted into the registry by EMC10 which do not have to be removed. The only purpose for a "clean install" of EMC 10 is to remove any important registry entries or files or folders which might get in the way of a reinstall, or which need to be removed so that they will be rebuilt during the reinstall. Do I have to manually using "Edit->find" in Regitstry Editor to detect words such as "roxio" or "sonic"or "smartsound"and delete them safely?
